a good mechanic will only take a day or 2 to install most of the parts of full turbo kit...

You would also want to budget a bit of time for a good tune as well.

31-08-2006, 12:31 PM
hehe and i just it doesnt have intercooler and bov

asiansquad
31-08-2006, 12:48 PM
u dont need intercooler to make the shh sound..that's the bov..right?

31-08-2006, 01:01 PM
need both

anjingbalap
31-08-2006, 07:22 PM
so if u want a make SHH sound u need to make Custom intercooler (topmounted) and BOV kit

you would not be doing your self any favers if you dont put a cooler and BOV, they ain just there for looks and sound you know, especially the cooler is VERY important in bolt on turbos, as your non turbo block does not have oil squirters under the pistions u would want to run a cooler so you can lower the intake air temp. bov is also very important and you dont want the turbine to spin back the other way on vac, as a lot of this can cause shaft play, even though the flutter sound is very sexy:D. the bov will make ur turbo last heaps longer. oh yeh and your clutch will most likely wont handle the extra power so you will have to get 1 as it will slip on higher rpm.
and you dont need a cooler for the psht sound.

ok ... now this is a problem.... I got the mechanics now and the stuff that i got is Zero 1000 Bolt On turbo kit + Zero 1000 Water Line Kit

the question is " is water line kit can be replace by Intercooler?"
or they still need water line kit on top of Intercooler and BOV?

Guys guys... The Top Fuel bolt-on TC kit, comes "OEM" non-intercooled!!;)

I believe the Water Line Kit is a substitute for the intercooler instead.:D

What did the instruction manual state in terms of the installation instruction(s)? Any pics/photos to illustrate the installation process, anjingbalap??

yes is water line kit i confirm with them.. they said it gonna spray a water to the surface of the turbo.. but.. is still not gonna cooled the turbo enough.. so for safety i gonna buy intercooler (top mounted) to prevent turbo lag

How can that be? Everything should come in a kit, right?

I/C piping, turbo, turbo manifold, E-manage (if I rem correctly), all neccessary fittings (gaskets, screws & bolts etc), steel braided turbo oil line etc..

yeah very interested also... hopefulli u get it tuned rite

krogoth
07-09-2006, 03:25 PM
^agreed

tuning is very very important

not just to achieve the best possible results, but also to insure the survival of ur engine

now that yoov added a turbo kit....yool need to get it tuned perfectly to find a midpoint, one wer ur engine will be able to cope with the extra pressure and at the same time still achieve good performance gains

also, check with som1 else who knows.....the ecu that comes with those kits isnt too flashy, u may have to buy another...something from honda tech, im not sure yool have to chek

dont spare an expense for tuning, itll may cost u alot, but if not done properly...there could be consequences

congrats on the kit, post up results soon plz

I/C piping, turbo, turbo manifold, E-manage (if I rem correctly), all neccessary fittings (gaskets, screws & bolts etc), steel braided turbo oil line etc..

most of the turbo kit doesnt have a intercooler so u need to make a custom intercooler..

as for a top fuel it has no intercooler but it got water cooler..

so if u wanna install a front mounted IC u doesnt need water cooler around the engine

if u want install a top mounted (with out making a hole in ur bonnet) u need water cooler around the turbo

in at the end the price is the same the only thing different is using water and intercooler the turbo more cooler and less damaging the turbo it self and the engine..

the good thing about front mounted intercooler on honda jazz is just look cool

the bad thing about front mounted IC is huge turbo lag due to the Piping is too long

the good thing about top mounted IC is got less/no turbo lag.. due is closer piping.

the bad thing about the top mounted IC is look like a Stock car(so people think u using the freakin' BOV sound maker) and also if u dont have freaking water cooler around the turbo , u need to make a hole in ur bonnet
