question: i want a little extra gain, however i dont want to cahnge the end exaust tip cause then my parents will notice (hence i have had a big problem with modifying things on previous turbo cars:secret: )
so i was intending on getting a set of headers(x-force) bolting them up and then no one is any the wiser
will this give any increase in power as i think mayb not worth it?

With xforce headers u pay for what u get. So if u want a good increase in power gain i suggest getting something along the line of SMSP, TODA, RMF headers etc. They are abit dearer but the quality and results that u you get is alot more impressive IMO

Thats my 2 cents mate

yeh my only reason for the xforce over lets say (toda,5zigen etc) is that cause i might/prob not change the rest of the xhaust system thats y i am wondering if i will get any gains
like xforce is $500 the others $700+
thats y i need to find out about the gains situation
thanks 4 ur 2cents neways

mmmhh thats an option otherwise i was thinking of removing that massive muffle at back and changing it with something smaller, hope wouldnt make it too loud
feedback appreciated guys

have to rem that with headers your engine is breathing better but still choked by the rest of your exhaust. You prob be lucky to get 1-2kw without unrestricting the rest of the exhuast.

Or you could do what i did and get the whole exhaust system and then only get a small tip so as to confuse the parents

haha yeh well maybe i will start off with just headers and then slowly increase it with time

why dont you get a nice system with big muflers to keep the sound down and keep a simular tip on it if done how you want it shouldnt be any louder

if u replace your oem header with an aftermarket tubular manifold u WILL get gains but only small ones, brething mods usually work better collectively.

i say get a middle range header(XFORCE +) and youll notice i nice gain, slightly deeper exhaust note, lil blang in your engine bay and your parents wont notice.

IMO a header plus OEM cat back > OEM header and fart can + cat back.

just replace everything ... hearders, cat, piping and muffler, and use the existing tip u have ... and if your worried about the noise production then wack on maybe 2 resonators to shut the muffler up!! :)

i did that to my car and no restriction in the performance but the noise did quiten down!

good luck!

just get header , piping , cat , resonator along with the oem type r muffler, should be pretty quiet, it restricts a bit top end when it is vtecing , but it is always like that, you sacrifice something to get something else

droning really depends on what type of muffler you get.
i have no problems with droning in my car with aftermarket header, bpipe and muffler

so long as you get a proper system and don't go cheap you won't get that drone

just get intake, headers, 2.25" catback piping, ITR rear muffler..

u'll have a stock sounding exhaust.. with the extra power that you're after

thanks guys for the help, yeh when i stop being so lazy i will go get it done i think, well got the rs*r headers alone atm but then will prob do high flow cat, 2.25" piping and maybe X-force twin loop or equivelent.
