hey guys was just wondering, ive got a 93 civic sedan eg gl, w/o any a/c.
my car idles at 1 rpm when its hot and t roughly 2 rpm when its cold. is this normal or should i get my car checked out?

Thats fine man all cars are like that. But I think you mean 1000 rpm when warm and 2000 rpm when cold? Well I hope anyway. Thats fine, it just idles higher when its cold before the engine warms up, normal.

normally it should idle at around 700rpm when warm, and 1500rpm when cold.

When warm, if its idling over 700rpm, clean the throttle body and the IACV screen. (Search for "IACV" and "Throttle Body Clean")

When cold, if its idling above 1500rpm, remove the FITV and screw the FITV Valve all the way in. (Search for "FITV")

yeah adjust your idle speed with the lettle screw-head located on your TB.. do a SEARCH for correct proceedure for this.

Well the idle screw should already be in the ideal position. Its best to fix the source of the problem first before adjusting the idle screw :)
