Not sure what the Discus range sounds like but I like my Reference's... although they were the previous they still sound good... lol

They can get little bright if the volume is turned up too much though...

well the guy said theres discus entry level and theres a bit up
then there reference.
but the up level of discus is supposed to be just as good as the old references

Depends on what you want, if it's just power then a jaycar amp is value for money. If you're after quality then you gotta pay more (even though you'll probalby have less power).

yeah ive got a amp
jaycar 4 x 100 RMS amp
chewing down 100 rms each not to bad i think
