Euro Sat Nav DVD / Video In module

I found this unit that allow you to play DVD's and any composite video source to the Sat nav screen in the Euro. The question is, has anyone tried this as I am interested in the quality of the image that the builtin satnav screen can display.

Also, has Honda released a map update CD for the Euro yet? The map provider (Sensis) release new map data on an annual basis (usually) so there should be one released by now?

Nice find - rep points for you. If the TSX Nav is any guide - the screen should be capable of a decent video image. Some of our US friends have converted and the image looks quite good. I would post a link with photos but access to acurazine has become a joke in the past month. It is down again.

I was down at the local dealership this afternoon and I noticed that the 2006 Lux with Sat nav has the dvd for the sat nav maps in the center console. This is different to the US TSX model which has the Sat nav controller in the boot.
The question is, if I buy the Euro with Sat nav, will any of the aftermarket video in modules work on Aussie delivered Euros? Has anyone hooked up a reversing camera or DVD in to display on the factory screen?

The sales guy mentioned that the Accord (not euro) had the DVD in the boot and that the MY07 could have it there as well... but unsure until the specs are released...

Good idea to email the sellers of the product. The list of cars they say it works with is promising but is no guarantee until someone tries it.

I would also head down to your local Honda Parts and ask them to pull up the diagrams for the Sat Nav - you might be able to check whether the video harness on the Australian Euro looks the same as shown in the top right photo. In my experience the parts guys as dealerships are only too happy to help with that sort of thing.
