Noisy Fuel pump

The fuel pump in my 416i (first gen teg) is making all sorts of vibrating noises and the noises seem to change when other things are taking up current, Ie it pulsates when the indicators are on and get quieter when the head lights are on.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Pull it out and clean it and put a new filter on. If that doesn't help get a new one.

yeh clean it , change filter on the pump as slow96gsr mentioned,

try also checking the wiring on the pump, look for corrosion and loose connections, be carefull ...be sure to disconnect battery and remove fuel pump prior to any soldering etc.

change your fuel filter aswell ..front and rear if u have one... ..

try using another pump from another source and try that ..if it still makes the noise and vibrations ..then its time to change the pump itself ..
