Just wanting to get a general concensus on what most people tend to do with regards to servicing their car.

My Civic is a 1999 model Coupe and it doesn't get used a whole lot these days (coz I work in the city and I carpool using my wife's CRV). In 12 months for instance, I've only done 4000km on the Civic....

I still have a long way to go till the next service is due KM-wise, but TIME-wise it is waaay overdue.

Should I get a supplementary service done, ie oil change, immediately? What do you do with regards to km vs time for your servicing?

First come first serve. So far it's time.

I usually go by KMS but I drive much more than that. Suggest you do atleast an oil change a year, and just standard checks.

time OR kms.... just go with whatever comes first and do the service (unless you have only done like 2000km, then u could get away with oil + filter imo)

the engine oil if not used ca become sluggish and will need to be changed regarudless of use if it hasnt done much driving if you drive hard when you do change it every 6 months and 5000k's
