hey i was just wondering on my friends crx on the exhaust cams on the side has this adaptor thing on it.. and he said it retartds the exhasut stroke or osemthing? im not sure but on my brohters civic si.. with a jdm d16a doesnt have that adaptor thing? whys that

its a cam-angle-sensor.

The later D16a8 had this internal to the distributor.

yes its the CYP sensor,
