Just measured up my EF9 enginebay, the chassis is twisted as are the engine mounting points on the chassis. Write off.
Ideally, I want to pick up a straight Aussie spec ED6 hatch, but with a factory sunroof. Did such a thing ever exist? I can't remember ever seeing one.

Is it fully electric? As in like the prelude ones with the plastic shield inside the cabin?
This will be the deciding factor in me not selling my EF off as a wreck - assuming I can find a decent body with sunroof in it to move everything into :)

Yes some ED6's did come with electric sunroofs as two of my friends have had ED6's with sunroofs.
How did ya bend the chassis?
Pm me if you are parting out the car as i am after a few little bits.

Bus 1, SiR 0.
Front end damage to the bonnet, guards chassis and engine mounts.
I won't be parting it out as its impossible to do it profitably. That's while I'll eventually shift all the EF9 equipment to an ED6. Maybe with CRVTEC
Although I have been bitten by the GTi bug at the moment ;)

Is the chassis Ok? Looks like you were aiming to hit that bus? Cause you hit it pretty much right down the middle! Is there any problems with doors opening or closing, kinks in the roof etc? If not then she might be repairable! Strip it down, throw her on a 'robot' to straighten her up a bit and then source some new panels, and then throw everything back on!
(while your at it, maybe seam weld her up a bit?)
ps: oh and btw setanta, I'm coming over. So get ready for a slappin... ;)
(tsk tsk....such a nice car and you BEND it?!?!)

I finally got around to getting the bonnet off last weekend to take a proper look. The engine has been pushed back bending the mounting points on the chassis and the passenger side bay is twisted.
I won't be parting her out - I don't want a garage full of unwanted parts. Most likely I will be tracking down a rolling ED6 chassis with sunroof and a B20 block (B16A has popped a main seal in the crash) and doing a slow steady hybrid as a memorial.
Although, the little GTi I'm driving around at the moment is so much fun that I might put the complete EF9 up for sale - but with the 100% JDM interior an 90% exterior plus all running gear - the temptation is strong to make it a project.
