whats the difference between the rd and sp series? :confused:

SP's IAT sensor hole is at a better location, so no more stretching of your IAT wiring. Also, SP is slightly narrower to produce more low RPM torque.

Rumour has it that RD's diameters were taken off the RSX-S and made to fit the TSX's shape. The SP was designed with the k24a2 in mind and the diameter matches the engine characteristics and RPM range.

Thats funny... I actually just ordered the Injen CAI for my car... model number SP1477 ;)

I didn't even get to use vtec... I was at 4000-5500rpm.... I make less torque on highcam as well. 4500rpm > 6800rpm for my car.

I have the sp, it sounds completely different to the RD. it just roars deeply and loud as hell at WOT. You will NOT regret getting it. And low torque is not bad at all

i have the RD and ive listened to my friends who has an SD and it sounds exactly the same. no difference at all. Thats from what i heard anyway....
and whether the CAI is an RD or SD series, at WOT it'll be deep and loud as hell
