EK Civic updates

Hey guys,
what year did the Ek recive the update? What were the differences? All i know are:
- different front bar + rear bar
- different tail lights (& head lights?)
- interior?

Also what did the Gli's receive over the CXI's? All I know are:
- Power windows and mirrors
- tacho
- standard air con
- coloured side mirrors
- ABS?

98/99 was the change over I think.

GLi has 4 wheel disc brakes, CXi has drums on the back. GLi doesn't come standard with ABS, don't know if it is an option or not.

The later models have different front guards, bonnets and grilles too, not sure about the back though.

EK came in late 1995
they then revised the EK again in 1999

Krim: No dude - the remake EK's were '99, I have one myself, but the bad part is that the HB did not come in VTi-R's - that was left for the EM1 coupes.

No i meant the updated front and back look was when the 96 civic came out compared to the older EG model ? The more rounded model with smaller rear lights compared to EK rear lights.

Ive got a 2000 EK myself (Im pretty sure its an EK :P ) so i did a bit of looking around as i wanted the updated look and it started on the 96 model.

my EK civic has a build date of 1995, don't think it got into the country until 1996 (First rego).

The B16's in '99 only came out in coupe form, although hatchback models were released in lesser form. 99 vti-r coupes are 'EM' (american manufactured), hatchbacks were made in Japan in 99 but never sold by Honda in Australia

Don't quote me on too much of this stuff as i'm rather drunk right now.

Ok the answer to your question is - yes. It is an EK and yes it is the updated one, like I mentioned, EK's were updated in 1999.
