Hey,

I have been thinking about doing this style on my Euro...Has anyone seen or done!

You mean 2 pipes on each side? It looks good on the M3, but when I saw it on the Liberty STi, I didn't think it fit the car.

On the Euro, it'll be a case of too much exhaust, too little engine.

^ I agree with aaronng... i saw a mazda 6 with 4 exhaust tips and all i thought was 'why'. Even a twin outlet exhaust on a 4 cylinder car is overkill (also restrictive) so why make the problem doubly worse

maybe it is a twin outlet modified with quad tips. as long as only the tips are changed they shouldnt affect performance?

nah not much... but there is no point at all to them and they could only cause restriction, never improve it

^^^^^ No point except he may actually like the look of them and wants them on HIS car.....;)

just looking at it from a functional perspective. like i said i dont see the point and personally don't like the idea. anyway, if he knew he liked it he wouldn't be thinking about it, would have already done it and this thread wouldn't exist.

I'll say, it will lose its subtleness when you make it quad pipes.

heres a pic of my lude with dual twin exhausts i think it looks good

personally, i think single on each side suits the euro, and for those who say its too restrictive i dunno, i did make 127 fwkw tuned so its good for power, (simple I H E setup with standalone ecu). but i will be ditching the exhaust once i go my build as its not optimal.its the all important Y junction and equal lengths on both parts from there that is the key, ive seen some dodgy designs, one actually had a 90 degree simple weld on kinda dodgy design. make sure the exhaust place knows wat u want! quality setup!
it does depend if u go with a Y junction or use one huge muffler like the M3 uses, i went with y junction.

^^ twin exhausts on your lude is just not doing it for me. I prefer only 1 exhaust outlet on a lude.

I agree - if you are going to go to the effort of changing the exhaust go for a single output setup as it has proven itself to extract gains on the CL9 better than a twin.

But I suspect given your question you are doing this for looks- which is ok too (not that a quad really looks better). :D

if you like it then go for it.
it's a simple mod and can be changed back quite easily when you grow tired of it.
personally not my cup of tea cos i think it looks rice but i would prefer a single 3.5 inch tip either side on the euro.

I actually like teh AMG style as well and was hoping to get twin tips on my stock muffler. i only want the look and not the sound. maybe you should ask an exhaust shop about taking off the stock tip and welding on two new square tips? its been done before.

I don't have strong feelings either way about twin tips. The only reservation I would have would be how it would look with the round muffler inset in the bumper (especially if you go with square ones).

The proverbial fitting a square peg in a round hole! :)

are we talking about dual tips or dual pipes?

this thread seems to have evolved... (for want of a better word)

i do like the idea of dual *tips*/ (dual tips from muffler?) on the euro to dress it up. something ive been thinking of doing for a while now as well, but unsure where to source at the moment.

but

As previously stated dual pipes would be overkill IMHO from performance perspective, i tend to be in agreeance with above about performance being reduced due to 4 pipes.

I was thinking of the tips

Dual tips on each of the 2 pipes, giving a total of 4 tips, ala M3/Liberty STi.
