Why does Euro sell better than Accord

Euro is a very good car but I think $29900 drive away for an auto that looks and rides like a luxury car is insane.

Because it used to be $34250 for both the manual Euro and auto Accord. If Honda had priced the auto Accord at $29990 at the beginning, it would have been the top seller. Now that everyone knows the handling of the Euro, only the families with 3 children buy the Accord. Most people with only 2 kids would buy the Euro instead.

The Accord 'Euro' is the real deal Accord that most countries get, and it's made in Japan. The normal Accord (seppo) is made in Thailand and only a few asia-pacific country and the US gets them. Not to mention the 2.4L in the seppo is down on power and torque compared to the 2.4L in the Euro. Handling isn't as good, and doesn't look as good as the Euro (subjective).

For $29,990, you really get what you paid for. Bigger car with less dynamics and less potent engine.

If you want to get technical... Euro = Accord, Accord = Inspire. LOLOL what a mess of names. Just keep it to Euro and Accord, much simpler.

I guess its because the "ACCORD" looks a bit plain, and offers pretty boring performance in the 2.4L Auto model.

Styling is the only reason why a Euro would be a better buy. and even thats subjective, if I was older and had a family I would actually prefer Accord. Euro is for young Asians.

I dont think difference in performance is that great. Its not like Euro is a sports car. Performance doesnt really matter in city driving either.

Looks, and build quality.

Also, the Euro competes strongly against the Liberty, Mazda 6, and Camry, Sonata etc (All of which are good cars, however).

The Accord doesnt compete as strongly against Commodore and Falcon.

have friend used to work at honda. He told me that the wide body accord is cheaper now coz the car is assembly in Thailand and they got real cheap tax deal and the cost of shipping etc compare to Euro where everything is more expensive to get it here.

I used to have euro for couple of monts before i bought the wide body accord. They felt the same except euro's better perfomance, better fuel economy and handling but i get really sick coz everyone seems to have one :P
