Hey guys having some problems with my crx at the moment, when i start the car cold i take off straight away and notice when i come to a standstill and the car is in neutral the idle fluctuates from 0rpm-1rpm and back and forth but as it approaches 0rpm it shutters and feels like its going to switch off than the idle goes back up again.Anyone know what this could be ? thanks guys

Do u leave the car to warm up at least???
Throttle body may need a clean.

mine does this too when i turn the aircon on.. ehehe
make sure you let the car warm up the car for at least 5 mins before you drive it..

well im always in some rush so its mainly just start and go,I know its not the best thing to do ,so you guys think just warming it up more will fix the problem ?

do you also find it harder when shifting or downshifting to gear 2?

sounds like you may have an issue with cold start as well ...
cold start makes the car idle higher when its cold obviously to keep the car running and warm up

u may have a slight vacuum leak as well ?

but if the car is completely cold and you leave straight away and your in neutral and its not idling properly ... then it sounds like u have a cold start issue.

how do i get rid of this cold start issue ? although i have noticed as my car gets warmer it goes away after awhile

of course the issue will go away after the car warms up
but take it to a mechanic and get them to have a look at the cold start connection because it may be stuffed ..

its something small

or if it comes down to it take it to a auto elec ( they mite charge a lot more tho )

Same thing was happening to my civic

-Clean the throttle body.
-Clean the IACV
-Screw in the FITV (if a D Series)
-Use 98RON fuel next time u fill up, as 98RON has cleaning additives that can clean the injectors.

ur spark plug seals might be gone, letting oil leak in overnite and drown the plugs, but burns the oil away as it warms up so the problem goes away after a while of driving. My car used to do that in the morning and i changed mine and it was fine, its easy to check, just pull one of ur plugs out one morining and c if theres oil on the electrodes. Alternatively it could be as simple as turning ur idle up, hope it helps dude.
