Does anyone's euro seem to be wearing the tyres alot?
We went through a set of potenzas in around 15000k's the strange thing was it was only the outside of the tyre, not the inside. it seems to be something with the wheel alignment..
has anyone else had this issue? its my mums car so it doesnt get driven hard. Even after getting it fixed, its starting to wear the new ones....
our monaro lasted 45000 kms on its bridgestones so now im confused.

I have had two wheel alignments in 20,000kms the first was needed as the factory had the rears set badly. The 2nd because of a pothole damage to the tyre. Talking to the experts they reckon I should get 40,000kms out of these Potenza RE040s as they are a performance tyre. I normally get 70,000+ on our Peugeot diesel 405. !5,000 indicates you or your car is doing something wrong??

I bought my Euro new and is manual and i drive it hard a lot, Im still on the sme tyres and am at 31000kms, I made sure i alligned it straight away after i lowered it but, still got a fair few thousand in them.
Im told that they are very good tyres, but they are around 390 a corner(im told)

I think it's the camber settings.Only camber adjustment on front though,not rear!!!

Outside tyre wear often reflects driving style around corners -- doesn't necessarily mean it's "driven hard".

I've replace my tyres just 3 weeks ago, for all 4 corners. I checked on the odo was 44.5k. I rotate them every 10k, front to back, back to front.
I thought it's good wear for performance tyre and my car is lowered with mad camber at the back.

Could be all those f***ing roundabouts that are everywhere!!Also check tyre pressure.(i was told to ignore tyre placard on ft. door and put 36psi in them???

I have tried various settings and the best compromise for road use is front36 and rear 34. The Bridgestone RE040s are around $397 I got a quote as I am demanding a replacement tyre from my shire council due to pot hole damage.

All 4 OEM tyres only lasted 20K. I corner hard though so put it down to that although we have 10000000 round-abouts here. I might get the front camber put out .5 to 1 degree next time. I get them rotated and aligned every 10K.

Nope - as the Euro runs negative camber at the rear - if there is going to be any wear it would be on the inside - not the outside of the tyre. Even with my Euro running 3cm lower than stock - there is no unusual camber wear.
You should get the alignment checked - as I think the toe settings are off (and can scuff just like you describe). If the toe is out it will kill tyres much faster than excessive camber.

I cant believe how good my euro is on tires! And I am HARD on them. I get them rotated EVERY service, you must do this.
I can tell you that going to 18 inch rims made a big diffference. My wheels sit totally flat and the wear is totally even. My TJ Magna sports was totally worn at the front bu 20 000km on 16 inch rims but my euro will get to 40 000kms with its current tyres.
I do have a mid range Falken set on the car and they are a bit firm in the wet but ok generally.

I'm on my stock wheels, my front two tyres are bald as.. looks like ive got slicks.
I've done just under 20,000km
The rear are fine, but i think i just drive really hard. The outter tread on the front tyres are rounded off.
