I've been having this problem since the start of the week. When i take my car out for a spin and turn it off, when it hasnt fully reached the operating temp, say like 4 mins, it like turns off then the engine kicks over for like a second. It doesnt do it when the engine is at operating temp, only when still cold. Does anyone know why this is?

sounds like after run or dieseling
you have a carby engine by the sounds of it,
coz the engine is cold, the choke is on, making the TB slightly open. allowing fuel to bypass the idle stop solenoid and being sucked in to the engine.
hot carbon on the piston crowns are glowing red hot and are ignighting the fuel causing after run ( while the engine is off )
when the engine is hot the TB are closed and the idle stop solenoid is stoping fuel from entering the manifold.

So its normal for it to happen or do i need to get it fixed?
