Hey guys,
I just bought a 97 civic sedan GLi,
the previous owner has modified the engine a bit ( changed air filter to the performance type), but i wanna find out what else i can do to it. any suggestions? i don't know a great deal bout modifying cars, so i need some help as to where to start. it looks hot with 17" chrome rims, few other bits n pieces there, but want more power.

of course its a manual....looking to spend as much as i can, but not all at once, sorta buy the parts one at a time, and slowly build it up.

I am moving this to the noob forum. Please start by reading through the stickies at the top and then we can advise you further. It really is a question of:

What has already been done to the car?
What you are trying to achieve with the car?
How much money you want to spend?

Definately have a look at the stickies at the top of the Civic forums, they'll answer majority of your questions.

if you want more power start by ditching the large heavy chrome rims.
while it doesnt technically increase the power it would improve power delivery to have smaller, lighter rims.

other than that it really depends on how much u wanna spend, u could spend anything from $500 to $50,000 on a performance setup
