View Full Version : EG9 Cluster Not Very bright – Anyone know?

Hay guys
Just installed and rewired a EG9 Cluster.. into my EG5
Now its all working fine but the glow is not very bright!
Anyone have this problem or know how/what it fix it?
I have 3w globes in there now

EG9 clusters dont come with that opt

why on earth would u put a eg9 cluster in a eg5?
should ov just got an eg6 , straight fit + no hassles

when i installed mine, it wasnt as bright as i expected. like it wasnt as bright as stock, but decent enough. although nothing compared to my mates corolla sportivo! ill take a pic at tonight and show you.

hm..
maybe your just used to bring things..
i presonally dont find it that dim..
i like it..
really easy on the eye at night.

Yeah I can see it fine just would like it a bit brighter

you could try changing new bulbs but you might lose a bit of the amberness..

i thought that in the eg6/eg9 white faced cluster, the dials made it amber/red, not the bulbs like standard eg5 clusters
also luke, what globes are you using, the stock ones off the eg5 cluster with the blue covers/condoms?

I'm using the clear ones that came with it
whats the brightest bulbs you can get? from where?
I tried but everwhere they were evern less than that ones I have

took a pic of mine, running the clear bulbs that came with it aswell, think they are dying though, abit patchy here and there.
edit - looks better in person, ordered some LEDs, see how they go once they arrive.

i have the same cluster, and mine looks exactly the same at night, the dimmer switch controls everything except for the cluster,
