MM my friend goes dat my handbrake is only attached to one of my rears - is this right?
and if it is the problem, how to fix it??

is your friend a mechanic?
how does he know?
if it's only connected to 1 side then that's a big problem man..
but..
it could be just that your handbrake cables loose

Mmm - no he a panel beater but he hoisted it up and his bozz told him - so im not really sure - but how big of a problem r we talkin about ???

well in emergnecy cases if u have to pull the handbrake out..
ie' spinning out in the wet.. etc etc
if wont function probperly
i suggest u take it to your mechanic and get it checked out
