ok, im REALLY confused here...

I ordered and installed the exedy sports organic clutch in my em1 about 2 weeks ago. I just drove my cousins car (em1) whos also got the sports organic, and i noticed a HUGE difference.

his one has an increased pedal effort, and mine feels like a stock clutch.

I checked the box and the serial is HCK-7111.
I looked it up at the exedy website and it shows that it is for a dc2 b18c
and it is a standard clutch kit, check the link below
http://www.exedy.com.au/catalogue-details.asp?id=38998674

now does b18c and b16a use the same clutch?

for a sports organic for the 99-00 b16a2 EM1 the serial is meant to be HCK-6751SO check the link below to confirm that i am right?
http://www.exedy.com.au/catalogue-details.asp?id=38998661

PLUS, even on the website is says the sports organic.. "The drivability will be similar to a regular clutch, however drivers may experience increased pedal effort, slight shudder and increased cabin noise due to the performance characteristics of the clutch."

Im confused.. But I think i got ripped off and I'm really pissed off.. What's your opinions?

HCK-7111 is the P/N for the Exedy std replacement clutch.
SO = Sports Organic / SC = Sports Ceramic / HD = Heavy Duty etc...
These letters come after the part number & clearly define clutch type.

HCK- 6751 is interchangable with HCK-7111
FWIW, we generally use the -7111 range on the B-series as it an easier number to remember & the components are identical.
But in your case, if you paid a preimum price over the cost of a std clutch with the sole intent of purchasing a sports organic kit & recieved a std clutch kit. You really need to speak to your supplier.
If you purchased it from an unknown source, you've no one to blame but yourself.

Has there been any apparent change in serial numbers lately?
I spoke to my supplier and he showed me the exedy brochure and its not 6751 or 7111 anymore, it also dosnt show SO for sports organic, only O etc.

he says that he will check up to see if they are different plates.. (but isn't there a clear difference between the standard and the sports organic?

the sports organic plate is purple isnt it? coz standard is silver, and he goes mine is silver but sometimes they dont always spray it purple coz theres no point? is this usually the case?

also, does the sports organic provide 30% more clamp force?

and also, how come my cousins car has more pressure than mine? his hydrolics hasnt been changed at all..

yeah, its been confirmed.. he gave me the wrong one!

if anyone installs a clutch, make sure you read the box! they could be giving you anything, like what they did to me.

Yeah mine has the SO, there's not much difference in the price but the feel is totally different.

That's why i always buy things myself and take it to the mechanic to install. At least i can see that its the right part.
