hey ladies and gents,

this question is aimed at those who have an s2000 that has done more than 100,000km.

I just wanted to know if you guys have encountered any problems. Seeing how there are more used s2k's on the market and how its an aging car there are a few now for sale with about 90-100km+.

mines about to tick over 100,000km.. 01 model. no problems cept i changed the clutch to a hardcore one which is pretty rough on the drive line. I think if the car is left bone stock, there won't be an issue with reliability and longevity

2000 model - 115634kms on it

Still on original clutch / diff. The performance of the car (mine is stock) is still good, got a 14.486 @ calder park. I'd say the s2k is very reliable car with full service history.

My 2000 has 180,000km up and only thing I've had to do to it is change clutch - runs beautifully ! I'm thinking about installing a comptech supercharger

100,000kms for me :D
14.1 at heathcote. Car runs beautifully still haven't changed clutch, but a clutch and flywheel combo is coming soon. All my pads were gone but, I'm guessing they haven't been changed as I ran them to the metal. Could have just been the track days that killed em lol.

I don't know how you drive but 14.1 for stock is freaking good.

I couldn't get any better than 14.5 stock in Kwinana Motorplex (Perth).

Cheers man, if I got more runs I think I could have got 14 flat if not broke into the 13's :D

S2k is wayy faster then a 14.5 man, I got a 14.6 with my celica and it just had a intake.

What's your 60foot and trap speed?

LOL never noticed how old this thread is hahaha.

180,000kms that's heapsss!! have you ever dyno'd your car? I wonder how much power you would be making compared too the newer engines.

Mine dyno'd at 136rwkw when I was about 90,000kms.

Mine is around 114,000Kms.... no major issues.
Clutch has been replaced to Spoon clutch, pads with endless..
Few things may need to be replaced some time soon... but it's more of a wear and tear as opposed to an issue or a problem with the car....
I agree with the reliability of Honda...
