Fuel consumption on Da9s

How much does everyone get off a tank and what do you run?

I run standard and I'm only getting 330-350km out of 40L but I do alot of short trips. Oh yeh b18a with 170k on it aswell.

i got a DA9 just like urs. B18A wiv 180,000km on the clock. full tank (45L) lasts me 500km. i fill up wiv mobil synergy 8000 (98RON)

EDIT: i do somewhat short trips... average trip is 10 - 15km

a) as stated, full tank is 50l not 45.

b) the fact that your trips are short doesnt mean all that much, what matters is whether theyre on highway or not, and how much throttle pressure you use

c) unless youre running advanced timing theres no point using 98 octane, for reasons which have been covered 1000 times on this forum so i am not even going to go into

It all depends on how much u push ur car mate. I know when the prices of petrol began to rise, and ppl were driving slower i was getting 450km average, because i was taking off slower at the lights and i was driving like a granny.. but now petrol prices are here to stay so every so often i give it a squirt and im back to 380km..

btw i got a DA9 Auto.

i got a da9 with a b18a with 4000 ks on it, i get about 400 out of a full tank with some spirited driving.

A full tank may be 50L but I've never got it above 40 litres at a refill. A short trip would imply non-highway driving and when the majority of my driving is less than 10 minute trip I'm going to use more fuel because the car is warming up.

Hey all,

My first post - have been reading frequently. In my manual '89 LS B16A2, I'm getting between 500-550km/50L (roughly 48ish). That is with 70% city driving and 30% highway driving, including the occasional spirited drive every now and then.

I've got an '89 DA9 LS with 200,000kms and using Optimax I get 480k's for 40L. (I realise the tank is 50L, but I don't ever run it all the way down.)
