Hey,
Just bought a mugen front lip for my 94 VTI-R. I tried installing it myself yesterday but I could not remove the original front lip?? Does the mugen one completly replace the original? Or does it fit over the top?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

What kind of lip does your car have now??
There's no "original" lip for GSi and VTiR Integras afaik...
Possibly post some pics so we can see what you mean?

There are some pics of the front lip. If you have a look on the second one there are "tubes" i guess that bolt to the front bar..

Thats not a lip slipn, ur aftermarket lips will fit over the top of that.
Like i was sayin up above, DC2/4, dont come with lips.
Its all one piece.

The lip should just slide on, with either end of the lip attaching to where the splash guards connect to the front bumper.
Should be a pretty tight fit.

OHH NO

quoted from TI

"it came with 4 screws to hold the lip to the fender wells, two sets of brackets and associated screws to hold the lip to the bumper. Slide the front part into the bumper lower grill, and swing the sides up into the wheel well area. Use a drill or a drill tipped screw and screw it in the wheel well area. You will need to turn your wheels to one side so you have room to work, and turn it the other way to work on the other side. Use two screws for each side and that should be enough. The way the kit is designed... as long as the sides dont slide down, the kit stays on really snug."

hope that helps a bit?

Yeah that helps kinda.... but my lip came with no brackets or bolts if it just slides on though im sure I can make something up to hold it there

I dont think it will sit to low, my car is completley stock

wrong!
that is a lip:P two pieces.

its how i installed my oem fogs, and integra's do have another lip that clips on to that one aswell. see the 'SiR-G' integra's. also look under the bottom of your standard lip, you will note the slots to slide the oem lip too.. i was told by honda to get oem lip will cost $$$$. can only get it from japan, as its not even on their computer system..

they swore it didn't exist till i showed them..

haha.

btw Q you still got your standard front bar? all i want is the bottom part

Hey guys fitted this today. Your right it was a tight fit but with some carfull persuasion it fitted on nice and neat. I actually got called into work after i had fitted it and drove to work without bolting in on was kinda stressed but it dident move at all. Before I drove home I taped the sides as I did not want it too come off while I was driving.

Anyway tommorrow I will bolt it to the inside of the front bar and I got some bits of small steel that I will make into brackets...
Cant wait to do it.... I love DIY!!

Cheers for everyones help!!
