thats not bad, my mate got 15 flat on his b18c eg on his first few runs.
then second time he went he got 14.8.
he was gon go a third time after he got some jdm itr headers in and cat but he cbf.
i believe he was aiming for low 14's to 14 flat.

mind u his got the jap spec b18c sir-g i think its called

p.s i hope ur talking about the integra vti-r engine and not the b18c7 otherwise its abit slow.

My is of a SiR-G aswell but it was a automatic front cut...
Only prob is i had a cheap clutch put in and i only got 2 runs before it got bad..
Could have gone into 14s if it wasnt for clutch but im happy with the term speed aswell for a stock b18c.

You got a auto half cut, so what gearbox did you use for your b18c. Also what type of clutch an flywheel you running ?

WHAT ARE YOU DOIN WRONG BRO ????

if your motor is from an auto it will have less aggressive camshaft profiles.. well B16 auto cams are less aggressive than their manual brothers and sisters

what gearbox are you running and what ECU ?? did you stage ??

Clutch WILL make a big difference.. i was stuck at 15.01" with KFC-spec OEM clutch and on steelies.. got Exedy single disc/HD and then 14.69" B16 EG..

did you run FULL interior ?? you should be faster - your EG b18 C should have been faster also.. how high are you shifting ?? something aint right..

i think the stock VTi exhaust will be severly restricting things.
what was the 60' time?

clutch is dead for sure..
I only had 4 runs and the last 2 were in the 18s..
my best run was my 1st run and it was slipping.
2nd run lost 3 mph on term speed but still did same time.
Then that was it waste of time trying anymore as clutch wasnt engaging till 3rd..

I will be buying a EXEDY ceramic soon.
The car is bog stock with steel 14s spare in boot. justa short ram 3" intake with K&N pod.

i didnt even launch hard on 1st run as i wanted to get used to it.
so i defenetly could have smashed 15.035 for sure..
From memory with my teg a good launch gave me 15.2 15.3 and a bad one was like 15.7 15.6.
I think with a good clutch i could pull mid 14s out of it as it was last night..
Unfortunetly next time i take it itll prob be boosted so ill never know.

thats not bad.

I spoke with a mate who races in Qld - he said a drop of .1 on the 60' equates to about .2/.3 on overall time at the end of the 1/4 (obviously if everything else is good).

So if you can get say a 2.3 - you're looking at a possible 14.9 or 2.2=14.7

:)

yeah by the sounds of it Lycote, it's DEFINATELY your clutch holding you back.. that was like when mine was dying.. i'd say with clutch adn get rid of that spare, you'll be ~14.5"

when you boost you'll have only one problem - traction HAHAHA

what trans you running ?
