Ask Jon (Wolf Auto Design) at AudioFX in Camberwell. He did installation for most of indo especially euro. Some pictures from [KUCING]. http://autoshow.permaisuri.com/Content/Autoshow.asp?AutoID=20040427191456

Sorry to hear that, was there a lot of damage to the car?

The replacement panel is pretty good and most professional audio install workshops can colour code the panel to match the interior colour.

Speak with Danny at Freeway Car Audio in Malvern (Melb) he has done a few euro's.

This is what it looks like.

not much damage
window gone, door flame bend, door panel scratches
and i ask them to replace the door shell
so now is depends on the quality of the paint now

so how much ppl usually charge to install?
as i can install it myself in my Jazz which need to change the panel as well but for the Euro, everything seems hard to take out so I was wondering if it is worth to get them to fit it for me if i get from ebay.

The kit was about $50 a year ago when I had my install done, no idea how much it is now. If you're over in the western suburbs or if you're prepared to go for a bit of a drive, GL Pro Sound in east Keilor can source it for you.

Mine was part of a system install, so I didn't get a separate price for it. I doubt it would be very expensive though, since it's a pretty simple process. Even I can do it, now that I've seen it done once. And I've never pulled anything in my car apart before (apart from changing light bulbs).

Afterwards, I even installed a bluetooth handsfree kit, with the help of a friend. :)

Basically, the process (from memory) is this:
1. Pull out the ashtray. (unplug the wire for the ashtray light). It just clips in place, so lift the lid and yank it out.
2. Unscrew the screws along the bottom of the storage bin, and it should lift out, with a bit of maneouvring. For easier access you may need to take off the trim piece around the gear lever (it just unclips - disconnect the seat heater switch wires if you have a Lux).
<do all your in-dash wiring here>
3. Mount the HU in the mounting kit before installing it.
4. Put the mounting kit into the hole, and position it with the top edge just inside the hole - it should sort of slot in place.
5. Screw the bottom edge back into place - before tightening everything up, make sure that the panel is centred in the gap - it's slightly narrower than the opening.
6. Put everything else back in reverse order, remembering to reconnect any wiring you disconnected.

These steps applied to my 04 Lux. Good luck!

I have asked JB
they selling for $70 for the kit or $150 installed with yr own headunit.

and another issue I want to ask...... do u guys still able to use the controller in yr steeling wheel still?

No. Not without modification.

And it gives me the irrits.

I'm told that it is possible using an IR sender that is designed to be mounted somewhere out of sight (but with line of sight to the HU, like inside the front reading lights). The buttons on the steering wheel are wired up to it, and cause it to send the appropriate command to the HU. This depends on you having a HU that can use IR remotes of course...

That was last year. Maybe there's a better solution than that now.

there is a unit from stinger if i'm not mistaken that can calibrate the controls in the steering wheel to the head unit. At first i thought that i want to get one, but when i ask the price, which was $160/$180 i cant be bothered. not worth it
