Hi Guys,

Does anyone know of a website that has detailed infomation with sizing of wheel lug nuts?

Is the following correct?

4X100 = 12 X 1.5

4X114.5 = 12 X 1.25

5 studded nissans or hondas (e.g skylines n so or type Rs) = 12 X 1.25

i thought there's only two sizes 12 X 1.5 & 12X 1.25 but as i researched there's more and i am confused now hahah

neone with help will be much appreciated

And would there be differences in sizing of lugs with fiting std alloys and aftermarket alloys...

again thx boys

Acorn capped tappered lug nut

See where it has the 60 degree angle? That's the taperred part, some rims have a 60 degree angle and some have a 90 degree angle. Obviously its best if you match the rims and lug nuts.

As for the Acorn, i've always thought that it was merely just the round/curved top of the lug nut. I could be wrong about this so maybe someone can confirm.

with sizing is not always 4x100=12x1.5 it can be 1.25 too, what you need to know is most Honda/Mitsubishi/MazdaToyota they all 1.5 but most Nissan/Subaru is 1.25

4x100 means 4 studs by 100 PCD

4x114.3 means 4 studs by 114.3 PCD

5x100 means 5 studs by 100 PCD

5x114.3 means 5 studs by 114.3 PCD

12x1.5 or 1.25 means 12 is the length of the nut and 1.5 or 1.25 is the thread of the nut

i hope this will help ..........

If you've got a Honda, the size you'll need is 12 x 1.5

If you have OEM (factory) Honda rims, get the acorn nuts as that's wot they're designed for. Ie the nut is round where it makes contact with the rim.

If you're getting aftermarket rims, generally you'll need tappered nuts like that pic

But best is to check the rims you're mounting and c which nuts you need.

therefore using Rays lug nuts for aftermarket wheels is not safe??

it should be fine right however accorn lugs will work better??

To my knowledge Accorn is only a style of the lug nuts ??

And it is fine using tapered lugs with both standard and aftermarket wheels?

Correct me if i am wrong anyone?

What i meant by standard wheels is 'alloys' not 'steelies'

Does anyone know if it's fine? Does any has/had it on their car?

Thx

I think fitting is not a problem as long as the thread size and diameter of the lugs is right and have enough space for the tools to lock and unlock it.... :confused:
