Hey boyz,
Just curious, got a friend who has a 96 prelude dunno if its F22 or H22, she was pretty sketch on details over the phone.
Says that she'll be driving along and her engine will cut out. She can restart it but usually has to wait for a little while.

What problems could it be?

The engine is not overheating is it  She does know where the temperature gauge is yeh?

Otherwise it typically sounds like a Distributor problem. It may just need a new Dizzy cap hopefully, or the coil / ignitor if its not the cap.

I think u should check it out for her before the engine explodes lol.

The RTA should teach all new drivers these basic things - simple oil check, dash error lights, etc..

Could even be lack of engine oil, attempting to sieze the motor despite the oil light staying... lol

Reality is, she needs to get it looked at as symptoms like that cannot be diagnosed over the phone or even the internet.

It could be fuel pump(especially if she is using ethanol based fuel), dirty fuel filter, worn spark plugs, dizzy/coil/ignition leads or a number of other problems.

could be a fair few things..... i'll place my bet on the dizzy/ign syst :p

you should reflow the solder in the main PGMFI relay then if that didnt fix it
try changing the ignition module
