what i would like is some help with choosing a cam for my car, im looking at a Crower stage 2 cam, bigger injectors, CAI doing the valve springs and all that and getting it all tuned for starters... hoping that i should get a some marginally better nunmbers than stock
can anyone make any suggestions for cams to go with?? and any advice at all would be great
what im building with:
1994 accord VTi - F22B1 sohc vtec
I have:
4-2-1 headers
2" straight through exhaust with hi flow muffler and cannon

dont forget when u get cams and start internals ur gonna need an ecu to tune with.
ive heard a couple cases of crower cams going to shambles and breaking/snapping or something. i heard it 2nd hand so i dunno how accurate it may be?
consider a h22 swap?

A swap would be a good idea as it is more tuneable with dual cams. The Crower parts are great, I have never heard of one breaking when properly installed with the right parts. If you put one in with the wrong springs and retainers sure it's going to break something. But that's not Crowers fault, that's the installers/owners fault. I have Crower parts too and deal with them almost daily. The hard part is that Crower doesn't have a F-series cam. They can grind a cam for you though. E-mail Brian and ask for a quote.

lol yeah i new someone would instantly say H22 swap hahahaha
i would be pretty keen on doing that, but i realyl wanna work on my beast and just see what i can do with it really
its more original to work on da F22b rather than just doing the swap

fair enough but dont forget with originality comes a big price tag, i dunno much about cams for SOHC so ill let someone speak up in that department

Honestly, you'd be better doing an H22 engine swap or of putting a turbo on the thing as the aftermarket support for the F22 is poor at best.
Sometimes being different is different because it's not a very good idea.

seriously, u will be wasting alot of money doin the f22b up.
it might be different, but in the end does it pay to be different? especially when everything looks stock and doesnt go much faster.
if u want a cheap way out and know how to do a engine transplant, just go buy a h22a motor only with ecu (bout 1500) and slip it in with ur orig. stuff incl. gearbox and hopefully 2.5'' exhaust.

hmmm..... its so tempting to do the swap
h22 accord
i think the f22b doesnt have enough parts around, sohc Ds have allot more aftermarket support unfortunately:(
