yeah i agree K & N, they filter nicely and they are easier to clean.

simota are ok, but tend to be a bit out there with some of their range

Trust filters can be had from Advan for alot cheaper than that. Plus you get that sweet JDM bl!ng factor ;) Contact Adrian (TODA AU) for any enquiries.

$189??? Geez. If they're the same panel as the VTI-R, i'd give rocket industries a ring. I think they said retail was about $100 or so. Pretty sure they're the Australian Distributors for K&N.

WHy do you want a pod filter? FOr the "fully sik" induction sound? An aftermaket panel filter would be cheaper and easier to fit for a Civic.....

They ARE cheaper, and obviously you don't read. Why are they a waste of time? Because they're hidden away in a stupid stock box and not pod shaped and exposed in the engine bay? Advan sells Trust panel filters for roughly $76.

get a pod ... just make sure you get some cool air getting to it if you do get it ... you don't want it sucking hot air otherwise you'll lose power!

and 180 for a K&N panel lol, i paid something like $60 or $70 i am pretty sure ... and i bought from AutoJoy lol which is over priced lol

what shops? does that include the piping?

Get the Trust Panel filter. I think it is like $90 brand new. Once you install the pod you will realise that it will eat up more petrol and your low end will be sluggish as hell.

And there isn't really much gains (if any) up top. You may think that it will gain some but don't confuse LOUD with FAST.

alright mister expert ... at least you will sound fast ;)

if done right you will see gains ... if sucking in hot air you will lose out

well if ur gonan do that, u might as wlel get heat shield wrap to put around the pod, otherwise heat form the engine will be sucked into teh intake.

The only nice pod setup I have ever seen is on a friends EK4, pretty much a Comptec/Mugen rip off, but done very very nicely. Whole new 3" piping from the T/B and pod on the end of it...... and the pod is sealed off into the airbox with cool air going to the box from the bumper.

I love how it looks, there is an induction roar though nothing that will get the cops drooling....

You want pod..... do it this way or don't bother.

For my car I've got a sealed pod with cold air feed. It only cost me $80 all up:
- Simota pod: $50
- 1meter of 2.5": $20
- home made perspex/formica box 4mm thick $10

The piping goes from a hole in the box to the front bumper. No loss down low at all, and the car pulls better up high. Sealed box took a while to make though, alot of measuring and adjusting.

No induction noise, due to the full enclosure, but I was never after sound.
