23K for 74K euro? I think that's quite expensive for standard version. manual or auto?

Check for creaking clutch, power windows all working properly, including driver's auto up and down. Check for car pulling to the right when on straight, flat, level road.

Check brakes for vibration in the steering wheel when braking medium hard.

One more thing. Check for condensation in the headlights.

since so many people bought the euro, and turned it into the eurodore, prices have fallen

if your gonna get an 03 model, at least get the luxury - which will be well worth the extra few grand. youll get:

HID's
sunroof
leather
fogs
bodykit
electric seats + heating
type rrims (05 + i think)

you get same rims as non-luxury model for 03 model. I think they use 17" on luxury on 05 model onwards.

as euro77 said, the CL7 rims are for 05 models and above. its just regular 16" rims from 03-04
and no, the bodykit was an option for both standard and luxury.

There's no body kit upgrade inherent in the Luxury model, however you do get curtain airbags. This is significantly more important in my book - the main reason why I went for the Luxury.

ohhh ok... i thought the safety rating was the same in both the lux and standard???

Regardless of what the pot smoking rating bureaus might or might not say, curtain airbags have a distinct advantage especially in the "compatibility problem" situation, that is when you are hit from the side by e.g. a truck or a big 4wd.

I take the safety rating bureau ratings with a HUGE grain of salt, especially as they don't even factor the existency of an ESP (VSA) system into the rating. Any properly informed person knows how much a difference these systems can make in everyday situations.

Take e.g. that learner German chick who lost control of her car and plunged into the Aussie cyclists, killing one - that's where ESP would have been nice (and with a huge probability would have saved lives)...

I could write a big rant about this subject so I'm stopping here. Anyway, back to topic, the Luxury is certainly safer in a side impact crash than the standard.

fair enough.... wow didn't think the side impact airbags were any different from the lux to standard... think i might look into it a bit more b4 i decide ... but yea the other main reason why i want the euro is for it's safety for the price...
