ok bit of a noob question
how much power should my engine be putting out? i have a b16a2 in a Ls teg with the following mods
- haltec e6x ecu
- 4-2-1 headers
- 2 1/4 exhaust
- ram pod filter

i am only getting 131hp atw from it (gettinga little more but i didnt get a dyno graph)

anyone know approximates??

131 atw with only those mods are pretty good considering its a NA.
Type Rs only get about 100-110kw ATW with exhaust and intake.

its hasnt got lsd, so 131 HP atw isnt to bad??
how many kilowatts is that roughly?

My B16a with only pod filter and ProECU managed to pull 97kw which is almost exactly 131hp

hmm, i'm thinking that the guy who tuned it has only worked on one other honda engine b4 :(

131hp is 97kw
im only runing lsd, exhaust, induction and a new cams and i ran 100-104kw atw 139hp atw

I/H/E + tune would give ~10kw gain atw, but it really depends on the quality of parts used....

Don't worry about dyno figures on numbers this small; Some dyno's are especially cruel. "At the wheels" figures is such a stupid concept it's unbelievable so stop worrying about what your car is making on paper, rather, what it is making on the track/butt dyno.

Consider that if your dyno sheet said 160hp 'at the wheels'; Would you be worried about your motor at all?

How big are your chromies? 18 inches? 19"? 21"?

well my chromies are 17" i got them cheap and didnt have any other wheels at the time, i am looking at some lightweights soon, just dont know what style to go :(

does having an LSD effect the dyno output?

yeah but only minor, it give better traction on the dyno

so an lsd will make your car have a higher or lower read out?

Why does it matter what the 'read out' says?

It will probably read less, due to the fact that they are heavier than a normal open diff. However the tiny ammount of inertia difference will be less than the difference you will get in repeated runs.

It doesn't change the actual ammount of power generated at all, nor will wheels or lightening any drive-line components.
