Just wondering how many rpm the stock DC5R gearbox synchro's can handle?

And, if there is a kit for this gearbox so that it can handle fast changes at high rpm? (ie, 10,000rpm)

How are you planning to rev your car to 10 000rpm is what i would like to know?

I rev to 9000 rpm no probs...

I mean obviously the engine will have the supporting mods I was just asking about the gearbox

You give me a list of mods that you are gonna do to rev a k series motor to 10 000rpm and then i might waste my time answering your question....

You don't wanna answer, it's your choice
I don't need to give any list at all

I just think its pointless answering the question when infact no one in australia has built a DC5R which revs to 10 000rpm. Mine currently revs to 9000rpm with a modief head and standard bottom end and i know of about 3-4 setups like mine in aus. None of which have any problems shifting at that rpm.

I also know of a JDM DC5R that is reving to 9250 on completely stock internals....

If you've got the money to build a car to rev to that sort of rpm then you have got the money to build a dog box for your car too :)

nice.... HAHAHAH/

Just wondering hows its sound at that level and what mods did you do inorder to obtain that higher rev?

I would like to know how you rev to 8,600 rpm stock when the fuel cut is at 8,400?

Meh, you can rev a DC5R's stock engine to 9k by simply just changing the ECU i.e. Mugen ECU.

We can rev it until 10k :D but who knows what will happen to our engine

well i rev my K20A to 9300, I've also been through 4 new 2nd gears and synchros, and various other synchros in the gbox.. Although I'm making abit more power than the average N/A K20 and abusing it pretty well..

Spec C toda cams, titanium valve springs and retainers and honda k-pro along with other mods.

I know of a jdm dc5r which revs to 9250 completely stock head and internals, dunno how this will affect the longivity of the motor tho...

Not a problem... I know audm DC5s reaching those revs, with aftermarket ecu and stock internals, and have been doing so for years. Let alone JDM which have slightly tougher internals.

But again it depends how you drive you car.
