if i remembered correctly, the spoon ETD doesnt fit the CL9. And i dont think there is one available for the CL9 yet.

However, some guys in the US has made a custom one for their TSX

Link some stuff to me mates, pics of the two motors and the mounts you go to and the damper. I will see what we have here that will fit or I'll fab something up for you all.

Here's the info. There are even plans in a PDF file for the brackets.

Try again. The pics work for me. I even cleared my browser's cache and it is reloading up again.

Damper... LOL It's not a damper...
It's a piece of steel rod seperated by a little disc of teflon.
All this inside a pretty alloy case.
If you want your teeth shaking in your head at idle,
Get one. If not stay away.
It's unlikley SPOON actually make it, so shop around & find the cheapest one you can & use that... Same shit.

its an elastrometric shock, steel rod seperated by either rubber or polyurethane bushings. The shock as tested by tsx.acurazine member JTso has very little instance of in cabin vibration.

I can't speak for the spoon one but thats beside the point as it doesnt fit without modification.

Ya I get enough vibes with the Energy Suspension insertes in the motor mounts. I don't need more. I was just offering to make a new mount for those who really want one of these. Hell the E.S. stuff holds my motor better anyways and costs only $50USD at most.

The torque damper developed by JTso is meant to be an alternative to the Energy Suspension inserts. You still reduce engine movement under torque, while maintaining a smooth idle, unlike the ES inserts which basically jiggles your car at idle.

what does this thing do anyway? reduce wheel hopping?

ingalls in the US do one, its called "the stiffy" engine torque damper, bro has one on dc2r. reduces engine movement at high rpm or sudden torque/load changes e.g. WOT at hi rpm then off like when shifting gears.

several benefits: less wheel hop, can reduce chance of header bolt breakage (have 2 cases of it happening - primary to secondary flange), gear shifts line up better as engine and gearbox don't move as much, hence shift linkage alignment (notice on throttle lift on and off gear stick doesn't move as much).

there is no noticeable vibration increase on idle. damping is with an elastomer bushing and stiffness is adjustable. much like an elastomer based mountain bike fork.

spoon also markets one but the shock part looks the same as the ingalls or j's racing one painted/anodised blue
