Hey all,

Need some assitance, picked up a 2.5" stainless steel exhaust for the teg. But has a buggered cat. And want to find a cheap CAT for replacement. Was given the information that a stock skyline/wrx cat which is too restricitve for their systems should be fine for a honda at 2.5"

Jsut wondering if a OEM 93 R33 Skyline GTS CAT is 2.5" and opinions on interchanging the companies parts??

yes. it would b okay. but wouldnt reccommend a used cat, jus change it once and thats it about 80 bucks or so....

u'll most likely have to get custom flanges made for the skyline cat to fit the honda exhaust system

Well its a custom exhaust system for the teg and has no flanges for the cat yet. as the cat is welded in. So ill need flanges anyway....

P.s. Also the guy with the cat is unsure if the exhaust is 2.5" thinks it may be 2.25" anyone know about this ?

u can get a new magnaflow or xforce for lower than 300, u aren't looking hard enough.

go for a new cat, rather than something 10+ years old

hmm yes im tending towards that sort of argument now. Rather get somethign that will do its intended purpose well...

I have a brand new 2.5" metal biscuit cat(cannot melt them + superior flow) for $300 + freight if your interested or a regular hi-flow 2.5" ceramic one for like $90.

The stock GTS(non turbo) cat is 2.25" from memory, the GTS-T is a 2.5" exhaust.
