Hi all,

What about opening up a section called the Testing Grounds for testing things like - avatars, uploading pics, attachments, quotes etc....?

I think it would be a good idea as ppl who have never done these kind of things or been in forums could practice on how to do these kinds of things.

You could add it as a sub forum in noobs or something like that....just a suggestion.

Spam thread huh, I meant like a sub forum in the new user section.

Well to a new user it would be easy to locate a testing ground if it where infront of them.
Where as spam thread how would you know where it is?

I thought the spam thread is for spam. It's not there when you go to forum section it's in the lounge, where as the new members section is there when you open forum.

Just a thought cause i was a newbie just recently (still am) and I didn't no wat to do or where to go....spam is in the lounge and it doesn't excactly say test your stuff here....A newbie is a newbie might make it a little easier for them thats all.

Once you know the T&C, you can post threads and if they are not allowed, they will be deleted. You will learn as you along. So don't worry. It only gets out of hand when arguments start on why the threads are not allowed.

What's there to test?

But I agree the SPAM thread is the place if you want to experiment after you've started off.

I'll ask again. What's there to test exactly?

1. Avatars - If it doesn't work you'll know in any of hte posts you've made.
2. Attachments - As above.
3. Quotes - It's pretty straight forward IMO

ANd if either of the above doesn't work.......you just have to make a new thread in the site discussion forum and someone will help you out.

Everything has a learning process. If it is not allowed, we'll delete it and let you know. That's how you learn. Don't worry, we'll teach you. No problems.

Nothing to test then don't worry about it just close it. I am a member in a few forums where they have this, thats all. Thought it would be a good idea, seems like a bad idea then, sorry

It's not that it's a bad idea but it's mainly serves no purpose here, as we have the spam thread where you can basically post anything you like (to a certain extent).
