I reckon 12.89 seconds if you are new to manual.

if you are fully sick at manual, I believe a time of 12.56 is achievable...

this is a silly thread. Try it out at a local 1/4 mile track with a GTEC meter or similar.
I believe your car is capable of around a 8 or 9 second 0-100. But just dont try this on the street as its illegal.

No , dont speed anywhere. If police or anyone sees you doing a 0-100 test , you will be caught and fined :) Its illegal.

Nah I am serious, at least that’s the case in NSW. It was release a few years back when they started getting serious about cracking down on illegally modified cars and dangerous young drivers. There was also few other new rule introduced at the same time but that no maximum rev in first and second law stuck in my mind the most.

hmm i'll look it up :( It's hard for them to prove ure maxing in first/2nd gear tho. If it sounds lyk ure caning ure car, then tell them that ure engine is just fkt..

Yeah I know but if your car is full roaring and accelerating hard, coppers will at least have some sort of rules to back them up.

I can't find that rule on the RTA's site. Ive gone through their traffic handbook and it only notes that making your car lose traction, making excessive noise and/or smoke is illegal. Maybe maximum rpms is under the excessive noise part.

Worst thing is that our cars accelerate less hard at max rpm than a commodore SS at 4000rpm...... :(

Maybe they abolished the rule? Just like a few years back they made it compulsory to indicate when entering a round about even if you are going straight. It was so stupid and everyone was complaining, eventually we don’t hear it no more and no one does it.

its pretty rediculous, i dont konw how harleys are legal from the amount of noise they make. i swear if i had my car in neutral at 7000 with the horn going at the same time, will be a good 20 dB less than a harley at 3000.

either way i heard it was around 9 seconds (according to 8thgen.com

point is guys n girls ~ if a police officer sees you "hard accelerating" from standstill they WILL fine you for drag racing etc. Possibly resulting in confiscating your car. So dont do it. Just read up what various websites have to report on claimed 0-100 :)
