White parkers are easy to find, there are quite a few on Ebay or even have a look at some traders in the Trading forum.

Underground Imports LED parkers (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21800)
JDM Concept Polarg bulbs (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35659&highlight=led%2A)
BT-Revolution Polarg Bulbs (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42699&highlight=polarg)
Ebay shop (http://search.ebay.com.au/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZwardenQ5fjp2002)
Led Shop Online (aussie base store that sells LEDs) (http://www.ledshoponline.com/)

Dont get blue LED's/bulbs because the c0ps will not like that.

I have installed a pair of High Power Pure White LED's in the parkers and they look great. These LED's are new high powered LED's that are 6 times more powerful than a normal LED, plus its quite cheap.

look for: "WLED-WHP LED Wedge Base Bulbs"

You could always just remove the parkers completely, you'll never really match the colour of the HIDs. Though the suggestions the others have made will get you close.

Maybe thats why Honda changed the parker plastic cover to a transparent blue colour on the 2006 models. I guess you could replace the 03-05 cover to an 06, but White LED's are natually a bit blue anyway so a LED should solve the yellow light problem.

Here is my 06 standard euro with the Ultra white LED's I posted above:
(note that the headlights are halogens, not HID - so for euro's with HID, the these white LEDS should almost match the HID colour)

I am using this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2pcs-T10-168-194-6-LED-Xenon-White-Wedge-Bulb_W0QQitemZ200026109360QQihZ010QQcategoryZ10256 0QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It's more white than the single LED ones. Single LED white bulbs looks more bluish than the 6 LED. And that seller is good. I've bought from him twice.

hey all, i went to autobarn picked up hi beam globes..5000k philips..will get them installed tom. also bought white parkers..i tested it and it white lol not blueish. With the hid kit - it feels little odd - like as though thru normal traffic / streets it seems the original ones are brighter...or face right in front. Is that the case or is it just me? i also noticed that more of hte brightness are to the side rather than in front. any thoughts?

wanted to ask too - whats the legal max for hid kit 5000k? 6000k? coz someone told me it was below 5000k therefore i bought a 4300k. is there a chance to change the bulbs on that one and get brighter ones if it is allowed legally. thanks

Rule says it must be white and not blue. I don't think there is a specific colour temperature written in the road rules.

hms well the Audi HID's are quite blue as stock so thats probably the bluest u can go legally. The HID's in the pic look illegal-blue to be honest.

What kit did you get? from eBay?

it doesnt matter what colour they are, if its aftermarket and you dont have the washers / auto leveler installed its not legal anyway

rhath127
17-09-2006, 11:38 AM
I got it from asia - the box is in the car ... i think the brand DAYLITE or something.

ABS121..sorry i dint get what u mean.......what washers or auto levelers?

EuroDude
17-09-2006, 12:17 PM
The washers are those square plastic things you see just below the headlights on the bumper, they popup and wash the headlights. Its mandatory because dirty HID headlights can cause excess glaring and blind other drivers.

And the auto levelers level out the vertical position of the HID beam. Its mandatory to have HID auto-levelers because of n00bs who dont adjust their headlight aiming properly and blind other drivers.

U can get defected if a cop finds out that you dont have these features.

rhath127
17-09-2006, 12:32 PM
dang...i dint know that. where i can i get auto levelers? with the washers im guessing they r expensive?

rhath127
17-09-2006, 12:50 PM
from everything thats been posted - seems like it would have been easier to just stick to the original.

i can definately say when i see them - the lights are white. what if a car cant have washers installed then ...

what do i do....

EuroDude

you could probably get the original euro lux washers from the wreckers, or *gasp* buy the bits and pieces from honda.

not sure about the auto-levelers, the original lux ones may not be compatible with your HID setup.

I was thinking about getting HID too, but its too much hassle. Got some Philips BlueVisions instead, close enuf to HID :p

thanks eurodude..i know have alot of thinking to do....

would u recommend me taking the hid kit out and putting philips globes instead?

EuroDude
17-09-2006, 02:24 PM
Well for peace of mind driving past c0ps on the road, it may be worth while reverting back to Halogens and sell the HID's on ebay. You dont want to get defected and lose points.

Although the euro's come with HID so you have an advantage there. If you at least get the washers and avoid blue HID's, you may be fine.

The philips bluevisions are actually quite similar to HID's, except they are not as bright off course

try using european sylvania silverstars instead of HID kits. Also it will be extremely hard for you to install an auto leveling system as it requires sensors on the front and back of your car and an motor in your headlights. I really do not see the point of HID kits other than to blind on-coming traffic:confused: , if you really want proper lighting that lights up the road infront of you rather than in peoples faces, do a retrofit, have a look at this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcX63e7peV0&search=Hidding

see how the left side is putting more light on the road and the HID kit on the right is glaring like hell:thumbdwn: ?
visit www.hidplanet.com/forums for more info on retrofits

Hi rhath127,

Just wondering if you have any shots of your Headlight cut offs with your HIDs that you could post up. Is it sharp? Any glare?

Honda will not install the auto levelers and washer to standard euro, I've already asked when I first got my car and was thinking to get HID for my headlight. It is illegal in oz to drive car with HID without auto leveler and headlight washer. so just becareful.

most cops are stupid anyway and won't know about the washer thing on the euro...most ppl think that HIDs come standard on the euros..

unless u're driving like an integra / civic / etc then it's more likely u'll get defected...

that REALLY does not look like a 4300k kit...

granted, it sounds like a cheap hid kit, so you never know... most of those kits have no standards of testing color, so chances are that even though they say its 4300k, it's very likely not(as that looks NOTHING like 4300k)

The audi lights are 4300k as well, they just pick up some blue at the cut off as a result of the projectors. The light emitted all the time is the same color as nearly every other oem hid set up, the blue is just a little section that you get from the optics bending the light output.

They do. I fitted the super led (white) to my 06 and they match, i do have the blue colouring over the parker light. Looks pretty simular.:D

EuroDude

Sweet. yeh I tried alot of different ones including the multiple 4/5/6 LED ones, those single super-leds are easily the best for the parkers.

Depends,

As they will need to match the 1/4 up to the rest of the car. If it is black with the pearl it might take a little more time and thats when $$$$$ get higher
