Hi Guys,

Just wondering how long it took you guys to get your 2 Year Extended Warranty from Honda when you guys purchased your Euros? It's been 3 months now and I still haven't received it in the mail. The sales person did send it off for me when I picked up the car, but ever since then I've called the sale person 2x and he assures me it will come soon, and the problem is just Honda Australia being busy at this time of the year etc.. :(

go call up honda australia, and ask em what the process is, eg.. when he sends it out, how long til they recieve, and how long does it take for you to recieve, becuase 3 months just seeems too long.

yeh 3 months is excessive. Ring them up and talk to the manager about it.

Next time go to a dealer that offers an extra 3 years "dealer warranty" for free :) The only catch is that you hav to service the car at the dealer.

Not good. We had that with our holden and in the end they were charging us $400 for a minor service (oil change).

I got mine within the month.

Give Honda Australia a call. The paperwork for the extended warranty comes out of the beginning of the warranty bookelet which your dealer should have mailed you a copy of, so you have a copy as well. That should have your warranty number on it.

if you are refering to the roadside assist cards they sometimes take a long time to arrive in the mail in honda australia's busy periods. in the mean time just get the 1800 number from honda australia so if anything pops up in the meantime you can use it. as you won't have your card number you just use your vin number as reference(which u can find in your service manual, rego sticker, engine bay, first service invoice etc)

What $400? hectic. Did you get an itemized invoice? Why so expensive?

Yes, it was itemised. Their labour charge was ridiculous. But we had to service there to keep the 5 year dealer warranty. Good thing we had it, after 4 years, the ignition key barrel failed! LOLOL

Was under warranty. Didn't pay for the replacement nor labour.

Yeh but if it were out of warranty, how much would it be?

Also, can you purchase Honda Extended Warranty AFTER buying the car?

Not sure on the price. Car was brought in by my gf. lol.

Yes, you can buy the extended warranty as long as the car's 3 year warranty hasn't expired. Also applies to 2nd hand cars as the original 3 year warranty is transferrable.

How much roughly is the extended wty?

I think the price goes up the older the car though. So an extended warranty purchased with the car is cheaper than if purchased after a year, then its more expensive if the car is two years old, etc.

Lucky me, I got mine free when I bought my car.

My Euro turns 1 next month and I just received a letter in the mail from Honda offering to extend my warranty an extra 2 years.
The cost is $795 till 27/10/06 after that the letter says it will go up to $895.
All you have to do (according to the letter) is ring an "Authorised Honda Dealer" and quote your VIN.

Got a call from HA today after sending them an e-mail about the issue around a week ago... Appears the freaking dealer never sent off the form to get the extended warranty / road side assistance...! Now I have to wait another 6 weeks to get the official extended warranty papers etc. Silly dealers..

Stupid dealers alright my dealer sent mine on that day, they even sent out my tint warranty papers for me they didn't have too but they did. It's all about the service and quality mate. Call and tell them to make an exception for you if they stuffed up, ask them what would of happened if you got a puncture or stranded with no fuel or even locked your keys in the car, or even tell them one of these things happened to you, that should get them thinking....6 weeks dunno sounds too long
