that's the same thing?
drive by wire is electronic?

Which tsx owner uses Spoon TB? I can't find any.
CL7 uses a cabled throttle body, while CL9 uses an electronic throttle. So no, you can't use the Spoon TB on your Euro.

actually what i heard is spoon throttle body uses cabled too..
but i dunno when I saw this tsx owner from toronto having his mods list ans he has spoon throttle body in there..here is my proof http://www.tsxclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14628&page=1&pp=15 page 2 for his mod list..

He replied. It was a stock TSX throttle body polished (or maybe bored) by spoon.

How big is the spoon one? 2006 TSX one is 64mm. Euro throttle bodies are 60mm
Even with a larger throttle body, you still need to port-match the opening on the intake manifold.

Spoon is 70mm i think from their website

from the spoon catalogue.
euro r cl7
stock 67
spoon 70.

so can anyone confirm they will fit and work or not?

euro r cl7

spoon 70.
k20a = 67mm
k24a3 = 60mm
This just makes me sad because at 8500rpm, the k20a can potentially suck in 141.67 L/second (assuming 1L capacity is used per revolution in a 4 stroke engine) while a k24a3 at 7300rpm can suck in 146 L/second.
The k24a3 should have gotten a larger throttle body from factory. From a midsized-family sedan point of view, 60mm is more than adequate. :)
I have heard from other forum that CL7 is running throttle cable and CL9 is running DBW. It might not fit and I don't think would be very beneficial running bigger throttle body without changing the cams and camgear.

Of course they won't work. LOL. Unless you run an aftermarket ECU.

There are benefits for the Euro if you run intake, headers and exhaust, coupled with ECU tuning to match. This is a dyno from JTso, has I/H/E and hondata reflash. Before and after difference is only a throttle body bore from 60mm to 63.7mm. Dyno from tsx.acurazine.com

I saw that from acura-tsx forum. I think the gains he got affected from ecu tuning. since I'm running 64 mm Tb now and I haven't seen significant gains on it, the other reason because I don't have ecu tuning.
The response improved and a bit feel free through the redline but I don't think there is noticed gains without ecu tuning or head works

In a jazz, TB did a notice gain(maybe stock one just too small). but why it wont work if stock is 60 and spoon one is 70?

There's your gain right there. Small gains like 5hp usually feel like improved response. It's still too small to be noticed as faster.

Read it again. Euro has an electronic throttle, spoon throttle body is a cable-operated one.

ok so CL7 and CL9 is diff
that's what I want to know
lol thx

The gains was too small to noticed. I have to drive couple times to actually feel that small gains. In that threads (acura-tsx forum), he also mentioned that 90% of the bored Tb gains came from hondata tuning. I dyno mine was like 1-2kw atw so clearly not 5 hp gains without ecu tuning since stock CL9 head was not good in high rpm breathing and the gains of bored Tb mostly in high rpm.
What I'm trying to say, unless you have plan to do ecu tuning or head work, bigger TB is something you don't have to worry about.

Once you get all the bolt ons, it's time for ecu tuning, even a piggyback. Of course, without ecu tuning, your overall gain is smaller than the true potential gains.
