Aim:

Installation of genuine Honda Euro R MT sports pedal set to an Accord Euro MT. I supposed if it fits other models, it'll work too...

Required:

You'll need the following :-

- The Euro R MT sports pedal set which consists of :-

- 17800-SEA-R01 Accelerator Pedal & assembly
- 46545-SEA-R01 Brake and Clutch pedal pads with 3 rivets each
- 46992-S6M-R00 Fool rest pads (clip on)

- High speed metal drill & 3.5mm drill bit
- Riveting gun
- Slotted tip screwdriver

Steps:

1) Firstly, here're some pics of the pedal set you should have :-

In the original plastic packaging...

And all ready to go...

Now here's a pic of the original pedals. Remember to remove your expensive Honda carpet mat first or risk getting it dirty ;)

2) Installing the dead pedal is dead easy ;) Just pry the old pedal off using a slotted tip screwdriver taking care not to damage the plastic clip as it is pretty fragile. Once removed, clip on the new dead pedal. Easy...

3) Installing the clutch & brake pedals is a bit messy. Remove the original rubber pedal cover from the clutch & brake. Place one of the new brake/clutch pedal onto the exposed metal and mark the 3 positions for drilling. Use a high speed drill with a 3.5mm drill bit to drill through the metal pedal. Do the same on both the clutch & brake pedals as they're exactly the same shape & size. Once done, just rivet the pedals onto the metal with a rivet gun. I bought mine from the local Bunnings for less than $20 ;)

It should look like this now with the rivets highlighted...

4) Now comes the tricky part of installing the accelerator pedal. As you can see, it comes as a whole assembly which will require some careful removal work. But I was lazy & took a shortcut ;) What I did was I just removed the washer-like thingy that holds the actual pedal to the hinges as shown below...

To remove the bottom part of the pedal, press down on the plastic catch to release the pedal as shown below...

Once you've got the pedal out, just replace it with the new one. Just gotta be careful with the spring as its quite tricky to get them all back together.

That's it... easy huh ;)

Hope you find this useful and enjoy the new pedals!!!

Cheers!

clutch one looks abit crooked. is that normal ?
i've bought ek9 pedals, and all 3pedals are the "whole arm" and not just the cover that sits on the top. they're so mcuh harder to installl. :(

F U C K E N oath. It took me longer to install the pedals then to put my engine in. I don't think there is anything worst, it's in the same leauge as removing sound dentening. I was going nuts doing it, my mum was getting worried with all the cursing, lol.

Euro pedals look easy :p

Hi,

Yes, the clucth pedal does look abit crooked does it... but I swear that's the only way it'll fit. If you look at the original ones, its sorta looks crooked too although not so obvious.

Cheers.

great stuff dude. good photos + simple to understand instructions. They still have the rubber 'nipples' sticking out, so my presumption is the alumnium backing is purely for cosmetic purposes?

Hi guys, sorry to bring up an old thread, but I just bought a euro R pedal set and the accelerator pedal is just a cover, and not a complete pedal assembly. Has anybody had experience with this? does the cover just go on like the brake and clutch? (that is, drill holes in the existing pedal and rivet it on). I'm somewhat worried because the accelerator pedal is plastic and not metal like the brake and clutch!
