Idle problem B16A 1st gen

When i cold start my car it idles at 1500 and when it heats up it sits just under 500RPM... laley, after a while of driving, the idle will go upto 1500 and today it was idling at 2500RPM! have not checked he ECU for warning lights (dont know where to check it yet)... I have searched the forums and havnt found anything yet

pull the carpet back onthe pasangers floor well,

you will see the ECU cover, look inthe center their is a hole.
as you turn the IGN to pos II if all is good a red LED will blink once and then no longer blink

if thier is a fault, then it will be blinked out.


try cleaing the TB and EACV and FITV with carby cleaner.

Also make sure all the hoses on the manifold are secure and the bolts are tight. Might be a vacuum leak.
