BTW the other car was a VNss dont know what was done to it but it looked like it had a bit off $$ in it.
The guy wasnt very happy loosing to a civic..
Lets just say once u cross the line the race is over but he wanted to make a point so he kept racing even though the race was over lol.

lol, zco you should use a pic of your own car, and it ain't my car anyways. very similar though. Pretty decent time you pulled with da ek4.

Yeah i ran 14.4 in with my b16. Might have pulled a 14.3 if i got more than the 2 runs i got, before breaking my CV that nite.

Aiming for a mid 13 sec pass with the B18.

Locote - much better time but man - you're on steelies with cheap-ass tyres running at ~40PSi !?!?!?!?!!! seriously man u need to lower to ~20PSi or even lower - especially if on steelies.

i only got 14.812" on my 3rd run (crappy launches) before the rain :(

i didnt see your car there "ZCO" ??

Perths 'Whoopass' wednesdays are like normal drags - first to cross the line wins.
We have fast fridays as well which is run like a proper competition, where you have to dial in your time and try and run as close to it as possible without being faster eg: Dial In 14.500 - you wanna run 14.510 not 14.499.
In this competition its not always if you cross the line 1st - but more if you can cross the line 1st without being quicker than your dial in time. Its also run in a staggered tree - slower car will go earlier than the quicker car - but its all times so you can cross the line almost at thesame time.

Hope that makes sense?

Locote : you could even run more like 17/18psi - but make sure you have a way of pumping the tyres up for the trip home.

BIKE pump????

haha... nah ,... you'd be there for days!
invest in a little compressor from Supercheap or A1. $40 sets you up and you just plug it up to the battery.

if you turn left at ankatell road and turn right at rockingham road theres a servo just there. driving to the servo on 18psi and not being able to try 18psi on the track due to rain SUCKS.

should be able to blitz my PB(14.7)
Gteched it last night since i had exhaust fitted the was doin mid 14s with crap launches and mph had picked up by 3mph on gtech.
Still thinking bout goin but as both times i have gona my nights have been cut short.

sivic
17-10-2006, 08:42 PM
i may go down to watch tomorrow night. if you're there i'll come have a chat.
on another note: my bro went to get his exhaust re welded after it cracked when he ran last time - found out how a lot of japanese systems keep their volume down, well tanabe at least. while it is a 60mm system, the resonators had an internal diameter of 2". on top of that they had lots of these little fins sticking out into the inside of the pipe perpendicular to the exhaust flow so that looking through it there was a clear path with a diameter of not much more than an inch.
while it muffles nicely it cant be too flash for flow, esp for a DC2R. no doubt it had an effect on the term speed. so a 2.5" system going on thurs.
will be interesting what it pulls next time lol

very nice. looks like the exhaust paid off. what was the 60' on that one? MPH has remained fairly constant from before, although i guess when you consider the current thread on 60' times and MPH............
got home today and was way too tired to head down. a mate was down there and said their were a few hondas

went bak on friday for another go with 3inch exhaust ( just deturboed my car)
and did 14.3@96mph on 1st and only run of the night on crappy 14s with a 3k launch..
60ft was 2.2...
might go wed with semis to have another crack at a 13.9
