Hondata ecu is a programmable circuit that is added to your existing ECU. If the ECU is blown, it won't work. It's not a standalone.

we shall see i know that it wont work with the circuit board gone
but all i wanted to know is that is it possible to retro fit the programe into a ecu

If I understand you correctly, you want to run the program without the hardware???
This can be done, but it's illegal, and Hon$a$a have a habbit taking legal action against this sort of thing.

is it illegal because the software is copyrighted true ?
How about looking at some other freeware options like uberdata etc ?

If he could legitimately obtain the tables, he could theoretically cut/paste them into freeware...

Not quite sure what your saying either, but the hondata options for your ecu are all retrofit.
S100 internal retrofit.
S200 internal retrofit, but with external interface box that will not fit inside.
S300 internal retrofit, but u need the S300J if u have a JDM ECU,as they are smaller dimensions than the rest.
Im no hondata expert, but this is my understanding anyway.
EDIT:sorry missed ProECU's replies,maybe thats what u wanted,im strictly talking hardware.

hondata isnt an internal...
its just a software... which is burnt onto a chip/rom which is simply soldered onto the orginal ecu board..
if you ECU is dead, its dead...

Simple answer is NO...
there's a few things that is needed to be change in order to strart re programming the ECU.

As fatboyz said.
U need to choose one of the hardware upgrade/add-on options i listed previously to turn the nonprogrammable stock ecu into a programmable one, well sort of if looking at the s100.
The one u choose will depend on what level of features/tunability/price your after.
