Hi guys... just a really general question

if my replacement dizzy hasn't been fitted on properly(not lined up like the previous one), how can i fix it??

the keyway in the cams is pretty hard to screw up. either its thier or it isnt. you cant get it wrong ( or can you ??? )

hehehe, based on the original post... I really have to wonder.

If it is not slotting in right, then it would force the shaft onto a weird angle and stop it from bolting down flush. That seems to be the problem but not very specific.

So anyways back to the topic :p

When i put mine in, the car was running very rough at idle and it was shaking pretty badly, you can tell that by how bad the steering wheel was vibrating.

Assuming you have some form of a civic (didn't specify) it shouldn't be that much different to my engine (d16y1). The dizzy is held in by 3 bolts, loosen them slightly and move the dizzy till the vibration is better/worse. As ECU MAN said it only goes in one way, if it's in the wrong way it won't line up flush and i'd guess it would be spilling out oil through the seal since there would be a gap????? (just a guess). Anyways that's my 2c. Each engine will be slightly different so if they lined up the dizzy to the old marks (ie how it was on b4 - if you got a 2nd hand one like i did - than it won't suit your engine perfectly) so you have to adjust it a little
