Honda Accord Wagon 93

hi does anyone know how to get acess to the 12 V cigg lighter as well as how to take out the centre console?? this is a honda accord wagon 93 model (aerodeck). Thanx

wat do u mean get access to the ciggie lighter? u wanna rip it out and use the power from it??

yeah pretty much, trying to run some cold cathodes off it.

take out the cup holder, undo the screws in there, at the bottom of the centre console bin there is a plastic plate that lifts out and there are screws under there.

If its manual car, pinch the gear boot under the knob and it will unhook, now take out rear part of console, unscrew gear knob, take out ashtray and undo screw behind that no carefully lift out black section ( part with around the gear stick all the way up to the clock in the dash.

You will have to disconnect a couple of wires to the lights etc.

i hope you plan on using a relay to power the cold cathodes, with the ciggie lighter signal used only to switch it on

Much safer than simply splicing the illumination power from the ciggie lighter and using that directly to power the lighting

yeah there aint no cup holder but there is an ashtray and if u take that out there are some screws in there. are they the only screws? oh yea and its an auto too wagon

mmmm about the relaying, dunno how ta do that and do u mean "replacing" the ciggie with a switch and using it as such?
