Hi, a bit confused, I posted this (http://paultan.org/archives/2006/04/30/best-motoring-2-liter-vtec-challenge/) link to a website that has a video, just like all the youtube threads such as this:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52575

But mine got deleted because it was copyrighted. How do I know what is ok and not ok to post?

youtube has "Copyright © 2006 YouTube, Inc." at the bottom, and paultan has "Copyright (C) 2003-2006 Paul Tan " at the bottom.

The paultan link was a link to their website, not the actual video itself.

I cant tell the difference

any ideas?

LOL, your thread/post was not deleted. I moved it to the lounge. I did give a warning as posting the whole VCD of the BM episode is a no-no.

Ah, found it. I think the mod missed that one. If he did see the post with the link, he would have deleted it too.

Compared to the elmo link, the difference between the 2 is that the elmo one was taped by someone at home while the Best Motoring vid is a commercial copyrighted video.

Still very confused :p

The http://paultan.org/archives/2006/04/30/best-motoring-2-liter-vtec-challenge/ video looks free to me, are you saying Paul Tan breached Best Motoring's copyright or something?

If he didn't ask Best Motoring for permission, then yes. Then again he's located in Malaysia, where they don't really care about copyrights. Heck, you can walk into a photocopy shop and get them to copy an entire book for you and they wouldn't think twice.

I think bennjamin got confused, raz05 was going to upload his own best motoring VCD and post a link, maybe he accidentially thought it was me who uploaded the video in the link I posted.

No i dont get confused lol ;)
Last time i heard , Best motoring was a copyrighted series FS on DVD/VHS etc , so we try to avoid linking to "ripped" copies of it.

But i also dont see every single link in here...feel free to PM a mod if you have an issue on anything, also "similar" threads.
