This is now my generic answer to everyone who pm's me or asks about this -

The following thread gives you all the info you need parts wise:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40261

Those prices are shipped to Sydney ONLY. If you require transport elsewhere in Australia - contact Leo (above thread would give you the info)

The bodykit is MADE TO ORDER, this means until you order, it is non-existent - takes 4weeks to make, and 4 weeks (by ship) to be delivered to Sydney.

As for fitting, I had mine fitted professionally to a cost of around ~$200.00AUD @ RE Customs in Springvale, VIC, you'll find them HERE (http://www.recustoms.com.au) Ask for Ray Evans, tell him that the dude with the Black Mugen Civic 06 sent you.

Hope all this info helps.

thanks for the heads up ozR18. it is very nice to see the kit in misty violet... quite tempted actually :) i hate bodykits but i love the mugen kit for some reason - as if the civic was 'supposed' to look like that.

i'm not sure about the mugen grill though, so when the time comes i'll probably be buying just the skirts for $2450 i think it is from jdm concept.

True, mate, i am ordered mugen kit except the front grill from JDM concept either, due to i don't accept grill cost that much, may find other cheaper grill later instead

I'm planning to just wait until more body kits come out... sure I doubt chargespeed will ever make a Civic06 kit (in the foreseeable future), but I know that back in M'sia/Singapore there are a few more kits available now. Only problem is that they aren't official so might be difficult to fit.

it's very expensive to make a one off mold for it, only if the demand is very high, then the mold is worth to be made, or if someone is willing to pay the price for the mold to go one off custom!

roughly about $9K+ only for the mold. can be lower or higher depending on the labour.
there was a guy came to me ask me to design a widebody kit for his old prelude and willing to spend about $20,000. that's very possible to produce :p

or other way is, most people ask me to design semi custom, easiest example like, r34 front bar on a hyundai accent. something like that. that's not expensive.

Not a chance - at least not in anything I've ever seen. How would you work out that custom comes out cheaper?

blk_shadow
31-10-2006, 11:48 PM
custom will not be cheaper,
except, if the labour cost is almost nothing.
so you only pay for the materials. maybe in asian countries are like that, that is why in Indo most people go custom rather than buying a branded ones.

the labour cost here is very high, 80% of the price are labour cost

that's correct, cos the mudflaps will get in the way of the installation of either the side skirts or the rear bumper, you have to take them off first

Yeah. I was quoted around that price too from Aust*** Honda. Their accessories prices seems ridiculously high. The original fog light costs SGD455 in singapore fitted when getting it with a new car purchase. I am thinking of getting it in SG when i go back next year.

Was quoted AUD800 from Aust*** Honda for reverse sensors (fitted) as well. Bayside Honda quoted me 600 incl installation. So i am contemplating to get it fitted at Bayside once i got the car from them.

17" rim....but was wondering will there be a big impact on fuel consumption? how much did you get it for with new tyres? I would assume you would trade in your stock honda tyres in.

very tempted to get one too, but might just upgrade to the honda 16" and stick to the 205/55 tyres. Was quoted $540 from aust*** to upgrade to the 16" from the free 15" alloys.

very tempted to get one too, but might just upgrade to the honda 16" and stick to the 205/55 tyres. Was quoted $540 from aust*** to upgrade to the 16" from the free 15" alloys.

I got quite exp rim and tyre, rim is Wedsport SA90 which from JP as $1400, and tyre is 215/45/17's Yokohama AD07 as around $1200, so total price comes to $2600, and i will keep the stock one at home, will let it go when i resell the car.
