What exactly are you wanting to know?

The car will be slower only because of extra weight from teh extra fuel.
Did you think extra fuel in the tank would mean more fuel in VTEC ?
. . .

erm yeah what do you want to know?

you talking about overfilling the tank and its effects on the engine? or the added weight of a full tank of petrol.

First one = ok as the fuel cover has a pressure release (just don't over-overfill)
Second one = i assume a full tank of petrol is around 50l = 50KG. thats nothing. having another passenger or slightly bigger wheels is worse

umz.. i dont think vtec would do anything negative to ur engine.. its built that way. but ummz.. full tank = more vtecing and distance to cover

i think what hes trying to say is would ur car be slower with a full tank when ur vtecing it... its obvious that if u have more petrol mean more weight so ur car would be a bit slower but i highly doubt you would notice it from half a tank and a full tank.

1L of petrol equates to about .8kg.

i notice a small difference in performance when i've got a full tank and when it's down to the last 1/4, nothing major though, just that with less weight obviouslt it will go a bit easier, not faster. Only way to find out is down a quater mile

^^^ i asked a few people this before... especially with overfilling a bit to round up $ after the pump click... i'm pretty sure it raises fuel pressure a tad...

Dont know about u but I find that the engine actually performs better with a full tank of fuel, probably because there is more pressure in the fuel tank, which results in more fuel or more pressured fuel entering the cylinders.

i actually find it performing better when i run on the fuel light
then just fill up half a tank of bp's 98
i find it more responsive then pouring a full tank never the less
diff motor's diff prefrences

and to truman a full tank of petrol would not lose overall power
there would be a tiny difference, but nothing that would destroy your motor etc

well the petrol would be extra weight in the car... the engine would have 2 work slightly to be compensate for the extra weight...

Have to agree with you mate. Feels slightly smoother and picks up better. Or could be bcoz i see ive got more fuel, and i floor it more lol.
