Just browsing throught www.redbook.com.au and found that the civic coupe vtir drinks 9.5L/100km for city and 7.4L for highway.
Whereas, Civic Hatch Vtir drinks 7.6/100km and 6.6/100km for city/highway. There is only a 10kg weight difference between them so what is the reason for the coupe drinking much more?
I heard the coupe has a closer gear ratio for faster acceleration...is this tru??

hes comparing coupe vtir to hatch vtir so whether or not all coupes or hatches had vtec or not is irrelevant. anyway im pretty sure all coupes had vtec. they all had sohc vtec then later the vtir coupe was introduced in 2000? the reason for the differences in the fuel consumption could be because the way they were tested.

this is a direct comparision between the two vtir models. How about the gear ratio? i read somewhere that the coupe has a closer gear ratio. is this true?

Could simply be that the figures are wrong. Have you correlated it with any other site? Drive etc

My 96 vtir hatch has b16a2 im pretty sure before the 2000 coupe
the only vtir is hatch the pre 2000 coupe could only get upto vti

GLi coupe, doesnt come with vtec, but normallly, all GLi coupe must be auto tansmition and manufactured in 1999, and share same rear lights design (upe red, down white)as vtir EM1 coupe, no front lip+rear drum brake. that's all I know about.

That's incorrect. The GLi Coupes came with rear disc brakes. Not rear drums brakes.
Edit - here's the proof:
