Cold Air Intake System Vs Full Exhaust (Sound Only).

Hi guys,

Just recently got a full K&N Pod Filter that's hidden away (piped) straight to the cold air feed (from original box) and it sounds wicked.

To be honest (and this is totally personal), I can't stand the loud canon sound of the full cat-back exahust - way too loud and gives me the headache, honestly, it's becoming a bit out of flow now, I don't think much people enjoy it no more let alone wiship it as before as it's way too annoying...on the other hand, wow, the air intake system is super cool, the sucking sound is way mad and it sound so much more engine-driven that the ehaust that's loud and irretating (in my opinion). What does everyone else think? Again, the above are just my personal thoughts not meant to offend anyone with canons or otherwise.

um so ur exhaust is too loud and u dont like it? where is the question, if u dont like it jus get rid of it. u cant compare the sound of a cai and a cat-back, they do completely different things. sum ppl like that sorta sound whereas others find it annoying (like urself).

No mate, I don't have a full cat-back exahust, I only have the CAI...as per my thread... I was just wondering what people think when it comes to purely sound...so far both you and I do not like it...but of course, this is just us.

a decent catback can sound awesome

most ppl running catbacks have huge cannons/no reso/custom crap and it just sounds like a big fat fart on the streets

but some catbacks can sound really really awesome (tone wise) without the huge sound

CAI+ Full Exhaust (decent brand) + headers = owns .. if its too loud at times, put the silencer on

I reckon stock exhaust and a good cai is very nice, your car is not always noisy and you catch ppl’s attention when you want to.

That's right...I mean, depends on the car I suppose if you have a sports car then yeah, would suit the purpose...whereas if you have a luxury car like mine... have a loud exhaust (in my opinion) wouldn't cut it...whereas with the CAI, if you want to get some attention, REVV it up to 4,000 RPM's and hear it roar! LOL

i have a full exhaust system.. So the seller said..
but the back bit which u can see if you take the rear wheels off... is stock..

but it has a silencer to make it not so loud coz i dun like annoying the neighbours at night ...

LOUD sounds r annoying i recon...

As stated earlier, if you buy a decent exhaust, not your autobahn, super cheap auto bullshit cannons, you will get a nice note. Yes, certain exhaust will be loud and annoying, just like my Spoon N1 (but it's spoon so gotta put up with it :p), but that's why you have to try do your research and make the right choice. There's many ways to listen to the various exhaust on the market; internet, in person etc.
